Winter Gritting, Road Safety and Reporting Issues

During icy or snowy weather, several roadside grit bins are positioned throughout the Parish to help keep our community safe. These bins contain a salt/grit mixture intended for public self-help, and residents are welcome to use the material on nearby public roads and pavements. The mix can be applied using any suitable household tool or container.
Please note that this grit is strictly for use on public highways and must not be taken for private driveways or personal property.

If you spot any road defects, potholes, damaged signs, or other hazards, please report them to Cheshire East Council via the Fix My Street website. Including a photo of the issue will help the Highways team respond more efficiently.
